FOAM INJECTED
DOOR INSTALLATION!
The END RESULT - NO NAIL HOLES TO PUTTY!
Unlike most door and millwork companies, we attach the casings to your door and window jambs, and then finish and install the doors and trim for your project. Here's how it works:
Dan Pritchard has developed a new method (patent pending) for installing doors which saves money, time and gives high quality:
- Trimtek makes pretrimmed door jamb/casing frames in our plant using clamp machines.
- Nails are not used to attach casings to the door jambs. We use glue which results in a rigid bond of the casing to the jamb. A two part split jamb design nest together into rough opening in the field.
- Door frames are painted or stained to your specs in our prefinish shop.
- The pre-trimmed, pre-finished door/frame units are shipped to your site and put into the rough openings as a complete unit!
- Doors are held true with field clamps while we inject a special three pound polyurethane foam into the void behind the trim, between the jamb and rough framing .
- Fifteen minutes after injection, the door is permanently bonded to the rough openings.
- NO NAILS HAVE BEEN USED so there are no perforations in your finish surface of the casings and jambs!
- Only caulk-to-the-wall and doorknob install remain to complete the install!
Windows are similarly pre-manufactured and installed as a finished unit with few or no fasteners, to give a finished-in-place look!
Homeowners and builders can install themselves, or If you as a builder perfer to use your regular installer, no problem! Trimtek is always interested in adding to our list of licensed installers. Just have them contact us at 360-866-2019.
